About Me

 Being a single mom, money was always tight so I started using Quicken as a way to track my money and set a budget. Once I mastered budgeting I went a step further and started “forecasting” by entering my income and expenses for 5 years out to make sure I could always pay my bills. I loved being able to see exactly where my money was going so I could break down and keep track of my spending. Not long after I started working for a Wealth Advisor Firm who at the time did not have a “bookkeeping” department. Using my previous experience with Quicken and with continued learning and training on my own, I was able to create, and successfully run the bookkeeping department for the firm which allowed them to now provide these services to their clients. It was then that I found a love of numbers and a passion for helping others.

Taking my 10 years of experience, I ventured out and started Bookkeeping Essentials in 2020 with the goal of providing a more personalized bookkeeping service to business owners. Keeping your books straight and staying on top of income and expenses while trying to run a business can be an overwhelming process and a daunting task. I enjoy helping each one of my clients by breaking down that process into manageable steps by providing daily, weekly, and monthly bookkeeping services. “I keep the books so you can run the business.”
